Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic ability, leadership skills, career goals, and community involvement. To be eligible you must be:
- A woman at least 25 years of age
- A U.S. citizen
- A resident of Colorado for at least 12 months prior to the application deadline of May 31
- Enrolled in or attending an accredited educational institution of higher learning or vocational training (Applicants can be earning a certification, or associates, bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree.)
DO NOT send application certified mail! If you’re concerned about its arrival, please send priority mail with a tracking number!
You must complete the entire application. There will be an updated application labeled “Revision 2018” at the top of page one by the end of the year. Unless otherwise indicated, the requested information is required. If a question or section does not apply to you, please mark it “NA” for “not applicable.” Some supporting documentation may be submitted separately; see instructions for each section. We encourage you to send everything in one packet, however. If your application is incomplete, it will not be considered. To ensure the safety of your personal information, know that CWEF has a destruction policy for all submitted scholarship materials.

The application deadline is postmark by May 31st for fall and spring semester/quarter awards. Applicants will be emailed once their application is processed and notified about scholarship awards in late August. Scholarship funds awarded by CWEF will be applied to the recipient’s account at her school.
